Grainy blending

Hi guys

I have been havin trouble with my paints going grainy when I am trying to blend something, I have switched to a wet pallete to avoid the paint drying up on me and that worked for a little while but now I am getting grainy results again.
It looks like there is small paint chips in the blending on the model or dust or something, I don't know, it is getting very frustrating and I don't know what to do :-(

So if any of you have had the same problem and managed to fix it, please let me know!

There are a couple of different things you can check. One is your primer, rather than the paint. If you spray prime in adverse weather for spraying (too damp or too cold), it can give you a bad finish. Similarly, if hold the can a little too far away, some of the primer droplets can dry on the way to the mini and cause little bumps.

Do you use paint in dropper bottles or twist/flip-top lids? The paint pots with lids can have granules of paint dry around the edge of the bottle or in the threads of the lid/bottle which drop into the paint. Those are usually larger chunks, though. Paints that have been exposed to cold or too much air or just a bad mix can be grainy sometimes.

It is not the primer cause I have managed to get smooth blends on the mini already.. Managed to kind of fix it with a little more dilution, more shaking of the paint bottle (citadel) and changed the water I use for cleaning and thinning my paints.. Worked a little it seems at least!
