Grass basing

What material was used for grass bases such as this one? Static grass that I\'ve seen doesn\'t look anything like this stuff.

probaly a mix of different colours of static grass

Looks like the GW grass. Gots a bit of red in it.

find a model railroad shop around and look for some woodland scenics

then look for the static grass flock - it comes in quart containers for about the same as a couple of grams of GW\'s stuff in a baggie. Several colors are available.
