Green combinations using VGC VMC

I\'m looking for suggestions about different highlight combinations for VMC German Green #920. I\'m attempting to paint a Drizzit-like elf character,and want to get the dark green effect that I see in artist\'s renderings. I have shaded from the basecolor to black in the deep recesses.
Any suggestions for the highlights? My first attempt was white....bad idea. My layers weren\'t transparent enough, even with 1:5. I had to glaze the area several times to get it back to the base.

So anyway, any suggestions?

You could try a light beige like VMC Pale Sand, or you could try a green grey colour like VMC Stone Grey or VMC Green Grey.
