Glad to get some positive comments. It\'s like in this \"Ambition vs Efficiency\" thread... I see mostly the flaws as a whole... But parts of it let me think I\'m actually progressing.

I think I might try some kinda freehand in that part of the cloak, but freehand scares me

Okay, did all the metals today, I might redo the highlights on the sword, it came out so dull on the pics...
Anyway, with metallics out of the way, the rest should be a breeze.

It really doesn\'t look like there\'s an edge on the sword. My 2 cents worth anyway.

Think I found the problem... My photo setup had no light on top and the side lights were a bit lower... anyway, did some more highlights for good measure
Got the reins and cloak done.. not fully satisfied with the cloak but I think I gotta move on now.
If I have enough painting time, this one might be done tomorrow.

-Primer shipped this morning (I missed it on Friday-sorry)

-Do you always varnish before taking final pics? I personally feel that that after sealing my pics don\'t look as good. I use gloss varnish then 1 or 2 thin layers of dullcote and I find they look fine IRL but a bit ass-tastic in the photo dept. Course that could just be me.

-Love the finished model. I expect this to score in the mid 7 range myself, which I think is a very good score.

-Secure to a plinth? Say it ain\'t so! How are you gonna bust this out for a game if it\'s all plinthified?

Good job! I too am waiting for a light tent. I got one cheap from eBay. What\'s next?

It\'s not varnished on the pics, I use Krylon matt, and in fact, I think it helps somehow

It\'s not intended for gaming, just practice and improve as always. If I did game, It wouldn\'t be vamp, cauz Imo it\'s probably the suckiest army in WHFB

Hey Vampires don\'t suck that much gaming wise in WHFB. I don\'t game anymore but when I use to I played VC and loved them.

The finished model is looking great. I especially like the way the skin and metallics turned out. Good job!

Maybe they do kick ass, but I just don\'t find them \'inspiring\', and they seem to rely on magic too much for my taste. I\'m a Dwarf fan
I do hope I will game some day, never did actually, but I don\'t have enough dough to buy armies, even on Ebay.. Plus at my current speed, I wouldn\'t have them painted until the holographic version of WH comes out ( Expect that to cost a bundle!)
