Grey Knight Venerable Dreadnaught

Hi Folks,

Here's my finished Grey Knight Venerable Dreadnaught. I've since re-touched the base edge! It was a bit of a labour of love but I'm pretty happy with the results. The skull icon was the first time I tried that design as freehand and prefer it over having a transfer as they always appear glossy. I added a little battle damage but not to the same extent as my Dreadknight.

The freehand job is solid, well done. Agree with Freakinacage that the base rim needs to be touched-up.
You'll also need to pay attention to washes application, to avoid pooling (back of the close-combat arm).

All in all, a miniature you'll be proud to play on the battletop!

Cheers folks! I'll touch up the base and add a bit more gravel/flock to make it a bit more interesting.

In terms of the 'pooling' on the metallics does anyone have any suggestions to avoid it? I tend to water my washes down a bit so that they're a bit more fluid but the metallic paints almost act like a barrier. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Try using less wash, doing more on a glaze than a wash, to avoid pooling. You'll need multiple layers though, but will have greater control over where you apply the paint.
