Currently I'm looking for some opinions and in the near future advice/ constructive criticism when this project has progressed further.

Background- After being away from painting for a number of years, my interest was rekindled by reading through the Grey Knights Omnibus. Then upon looking at the current miniature selections being produced, decided it was fair time to come back to it. I've almost amassed everything that I want to include in fielding a "Grey Knights Battle Company", which leads me to my question.

Out of these two Multi-Melta turrets, which do you think would be more visually appealing mounted on Land Raider Redeemers and Crusaders?

This one is the Forge World Razorback conversion kit.

The only place I see to mount the turret with minimal alteration to the Land Raider is in the spot where the twin-linked assault cannons go, right above the front ramp. Of the two you show, the FW razorback turret looks to be the easier of the two to mount to the land raider chasis.

I was planning on drilling out the back hatch a little bit to mount it in a similar placement as the missile launcher on the Land Raider Helios. I don't want to do any type of additional modifications to the front weapon mount, because I'm going to be putting in TL psycannons there.

My main concern about the TL MM set up is that the height of the turret will appear to be akward while mount on the Land Raiders. There is a decent cost difference between the two. The FW is about twice as much as the one from bitspudlo.

You could remove the vehicle commander's hatch and grind it down flush to the roof of the vehcile, then add a recessed platform out of sheet styrene (plasticard if you are in the EU) to lower the overall height of the launcher.

Cassar, I took a look at some of your mini's and was wondering what you used for the claws on your Dark Angels Terminator. Not even going to lie about it, totally going to jack your idea on it and use it for a Durendin conversion.

Why not kitbash an automated Multimelta turret out of the round hatches that come with the LR, the mutli-melta that comes with the LR redeemer and some odd bits and ends? You could use the sensors that come with the hunter-killer missile that comes with every LR kit for example. Or just go for the FW turret, the design lines will suite the overall LR design better.

Thanks Meph, that's what I wasn't sure about. I've got both on order now so I can see which one looks better. I figured that the worst thing that would happen by doing this is that I would have extra parts around the house.
