I really love Grindhouse games stuff. I like the character in their mini's a ton. This is from their new line, and I think these dogface mini's are about as cool as their APE power armour alt WWII dudes. This is my first attempt at painting any weathering on a mini, and I would love any feedback. Thanks for looking gang!

ll done! the weathering breaks up the surface area quite well. that said, i would like to see some white writing on him, something like 'reactor access' on the back panel. would just add an extra dimension imo. i so want one of these...

Hey Scott! Nice to see you're still aquiring new skills, great job on the weathering, very succesful
As for crits, I'd say the leather bags would need more care, more dramatic highlights to make it look leathery and edging to make it more readable, as it gets lost in the metal part, especially in the front. Maybe use a slightly more saturated color for the same reason. Eye could be a bit lighter too to really pop and focus attention.
I think the base is well done but the grassland theme doesn't really stick with the mini imo.

Yeah, the weathering looks great, rusty and nasty, well done. Nice job on the eye too, really pops and of course the base is awesome! Normally this is not my favorite type of mini but what you've done here makes makes me want to buy / paint one.

Thanks guys, some good points, especially about some freehand and stuff. I was thinking a serial number or something in that old school early eighties computer font (It makes sense in my head!) but then I thought "That sounds kinda hard, save it for the next one" and I tend to agree with lazy thoughts like that. But I do have another of these guys (I really do like 'em!) so I will put forth the suggestions.

agree about the base though, its not bad but it doesnt 100% fit the mini. some battlefield-wet mud-barbed wire stuff had been cool.
