Gryphon and a DE Warrior.... Both painted ridiculous for the sake of being ridiculous

Okay so maybe not ONLY for that reason, but I did want to paint something absolutely crazy that might stand out a little. Well... I think I managed that.

I have to say though, I am actually considering painting a DE army like the warrior. Might be fun.

Just a bit of a silly project, but what do you guys think of the party gryphon?

yeah I did him in under an hour. more of a concept test than anything. I can just imagine how blindingly bright a raider would be in those colors Victory by distraction!

Most of us paint fantasy figures, the word being fantasy, so why not paint in more bright fantasy colours. A lot of painting
these days seems to lean towards making fantasy minis look realistic.

Who says what colour a gryphon should be, or what colour a fighters armour should be, I read comments all the time, like - Hey you cannot
paint that mini that colour it not right for the model, ITS A FANTASY MINI

I like the gryphon and the DE Warrior, a breath of fresh air, like mini painting used to be, before all the dark washes started being thrown around.
