GW Chaos Lord with Jetpack and 5 Raptors

Hi Folks,

I've been a long time veiwer of the website but I haven't felt brave enough to post anything (there are some very talented painters here!

I painted these figures a few weeks ago and they're the most consistent figures I've painted and thought to get your views. I love the background and colour scheme of the Chaos Nightlords and thought to honour them with the most iconic figures.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with them and the odd forks of lightning really add some interest on these dark looking miniatures. The flame-looking things on the base were annoying and a little miscast so I just added a little red and orange to give a kind of flame/smoke theme.

Having spent some time with these models I do like them but I found that there were parts of the miniatures which had lost some detail and areas where they were a little miscast - hopefully I did them proud.

What do you folk think?

Nice.

Bases; good ideas, well followed through.
Cool touches here and there; like the verdigris on the bronze at the back of jump-packs, face and skulls on the first pic and the red tabard on the second figure.

Just reckon a bit more could be done. Like working back into some of the metallics with some shading. Some of the cables could be rendered with a colour rather than as a metallic. The armour and chainswords could use an extra highlight or two around the edges, to give it some whoomph and stand out more.

I think they look top notch mate just the pics are a tad dark to me.
