I have a modeling question. I like the look of knights with swords and not lances. But my knights need lances to be effective. Has anyone come up with an elegant way to temporarily put the lances on the knights? I think it looks a little bizaar to have the knights carrying swords and have lances glued to their back.

I\'ve got an idea! In WFB, Knights aren\'t usually in ranks right? Why not affix a squire type model behind the knight - carryin\' the lance. (extend the base backwards somehow) You may have to raid the Bretonians for a suitable figure or somewhere else even. But it might look cool having a pageboy type in the knights colors behind each one. Of course these squires will have no points and should be ignored on the field - just decorative. Plus you\'ll have lovely conversation pieces . . .

Medieval Knights used to affix their pinons on the lance and have it holstered butt down either in the front (right I believe) or rear of the saddle. Might be a useful and really neat conversion.

i have an answer!

a guy at my local store put broken lances under the horses it looked quite good! and it gives you an exuse to have thier swords out:idea:
