Some of the fantasy single winners don\'t look they\'re come off the display bases. Are they cleverly done so you can\'t see the bases or were they attached?

I thought the UK judges were sticklers for that.

They certainly went off on a bit of a crusade about the \'appropriate gaming base\' thing a few years back and I certainly stick to the rules with my entries just to avoid any chance of loosing out on a technicality... though technically the demonette couldn\'t be removed from the pedestal because of the guitar wire pipe which goes into the base :) But she WAS on an appropriate gaming base!

Must start looking at doing something clever like the WH single guys here and incorperate a gaming base into a larger scenic base... the fact that people couldn\'t tell from the photos just means they did a very good job :)

I know I was a bit p*ssed off that they let certain painters (who I\'ve subsequently come to know, but didn\'t at the time) get away with joint entries as recently as 2006 even though that\'s been dissalowed for many many years... GW\'s excuse on that one was \'they didn\'t realise until the winners had been chosen and their names were checked, and by then it was too late to change the decision\'...

I guess they can\'t use that excuse with appropriate bases :)
