Nice work LouW, voted.

i think my favorite from the bunch is your Sam mini, i usually really dont like Lotr mini\'s for some reason, but i think you have hit the nail on the head with this one, it must be good for me to like it being lotr and all! well done:D

last favorite was the preist, its not so much the painting (although he looks like he could do with a dull coat) its more the position of the minis arms and the way he is holding his hammer, it looks quite un-natural to me, very good from the waist down tho!! (no jokes please)lol

Id have to agree with SM. Love all but the pilot is Ace. (sorry for the bad pun lack of sleep)

Did the vote thing.

Like all of em think there brill. The pilot is brilliant love the colours. The priest is great too love the pose as if he is lighting the way with his hammer. The only thing that let it down a bit was his left hand. But then again i cant sculpt at all so cant really say anything. Well done kepp em comin :D

Thanks for comments & votes.

Ogre is my personal fave of this batch. It was one of the first minis I ever bought, pity I didnt have a before strip pic to show CMON improvement.

Priest is flawed- left hand is out, skirt is too flat, hammer too big and pose is artificial.... still this was my first major 28mm sculpt using procreate & u\'ll see a bit of improvement on my next one
I also had problems with dullcote reacting with Tamiya red ??? anyone else had this problem or know how to overcome?

nice to see so many wellpainted minis in one pplace. The pilot is excellent sw looking.
I think the metallics on the priest is very well done, how on earth do you do that?

@manus Metallics on the priest were:

GW Mithril with a tiny amount of VMC prussian blue. Shade with prussian blue and black washes.

GW Shining gold with a tiny amount of GW boltgun to decrease the yellowness. Shade with scorch brown/brown ink wash.

I try and think of NMM painting when doing my metallics just thinking of the metallic paint as another colour.

The trick is to flatten the metallic shine by using dullcote and then highlight back up using just the metallic paints with nothing added. Hence shiny bright high light without changing the colour
