I\'ve always loved Kroots and then a friend gave me a sprue (thanks Vincenti!) so I had no excuse not to do one.

I\'m really very pleased with how he turned out. I tried some new things, such as layering (which took bloomin\' ages by the way!) and I think the end results were worth it. I\'ve never had a model come out so smooth :D

I wanted him to be a tracker - the best in his tribe - so kept the colours natural and with the neutral snowy base, he really stands out without being too bright.

Just put him up on CMON, here\'s the linky-thing ;)

Comments welcome as always. Thank you for looking :D

I like your color selection a lot but the execution is what gets me. the NMM on the dagger and gun muzzle don\'t look very blended along with the belly scales. If those areas were blended as nicely as the quills on his heas, then this would be extra awesome.

he looks lovely but i agree with mathew. the nmm looks unfinished, especially on his dagger. i looks as if you have started highlighting the grey and have forgotten to shade it, which is a shame. the rest is lovely though, especially the snow on the top of the stone

Sorry buddy, the pic and link don\'t work for me...buuut I\'m sure the others were right. Layering\'s a tricky thing and I guess as you find out it takes time and a whole lot of patience. Just remember to put as much effort into the rest of the mini, thats the important thing.
Practice, practice, practice!:D

love the blending on his head from yellow around the eyes to green looks great but the dagger does look so underdone compared with the rest of the mini

For what it\'s worth (you being a much better painter than me!), I think it\'s a fantastically atmospheric mini!

I can offer no higher praise than saying that the model makes me want to paint one myself!
