GW leather wings conversion help plz.

Hey folks. I\'m not knowledgable with Games Workshop products, so I was hoping a few fellow gamers can help me out on a conversion.

I was browsing through their online store for bitz and I just need a scale comparison for these leather wings.

I\'m basically looking for leather wings that would fit a horse. Something around the same size as the pegasus wings. So I assume any wings labled dragon is just too large for that. But there\'s a few here that I have no idea if they\'re too large or not.

I did a search on a few on CMoN, hoping other painters here posted up such wings for me to compare to the riders, but no help.

I really like the Galarauch wings, but they look a bit too large. Would they fit?

Morathi is a dark elf on dark pegasus ... the wings are leathery and should be the right size for you.

Jim.. is spot on. The wings are nearly the same size... and look good Galrauchs wings are unfortunately.. huge, dragon wings are too large too :]

What conversion work are you about to do anyways ? Sounds good

Oops. Forgot to mention that I\'m trying to avoid Morathi\'s pegasus wings. They\'re just too ugly to me.

Or Archive Winged Nightmare Right Wing?
Nightmare wing, sounds like it goes on a horse.

As for what I\'m working on, hopefully you\'ll get to see pics of it in GD Baltimore this year, if the conversion works out.

those archive manticore wings should work as the old manticores were lot smaller than the new, or maybe check out the cockatrice if they still have it listed.

Hmm, how about using some old style harpy wings? You can see these on my Pitch Black Kroothounds in my gallery. If you decide to go down this route you\'ll need to be prepared to cut them in half and drill and pin them to the body. In fact there is an article about converting the kroothounds on my website (both links are in my sig.).:idea:
