GW minis

I always thought GW minis were the best out there, didn't really see any other brands about.
By golly gosh I was wrong about that.
Since joining CMON I've seen the light :worship:
GW minis are a bit, well.........

also on another note (looks around sheepishly) I've started to lick my brushes, sshhhhh:secret:

There is soooo much good stuff out there. I am GW whore though. I love painting and am slowly getting better but i am a gamer first. Some stuff puts GW to shame Infinity minis are great and loads of others.

We all lick brushes. Just dont lick humbrol paint eugghhhhhh

I've pondered that myself - I think it's the fact that GW minis have to be built in order to stand up to the abuse of "enthusiastic" 12 year old gamers. So they're going to have a certain bulk and sturdiness to them. Try dropping a resin KoD mini and try not to break down in tears at the result.

I buy GW due to the fact that there is something about the model that has caught my eye. I did know about other companies out there that do some stunning lady figures. At the moment they are fight for room on my painting desk

I agree with this, however I can't remember the last time I even bought a GW model.

They have been upping their game, but there are far too many other 'must buys' out there for me right now.

Most of my purchases have indeed been other figs - Soda Pop, Kingdom Death, Ultraforge, Reaper, and the list goes on. From a pure painting perspective, I like the other offerings much better. But I also have friends that like to play 40k, so I do buy GW stuff once in awhile to augment my army.
