yes, it\'s me again.

I\'m still having trouble choosing a colour scheme for my Space Marine army. So i\'m asking you lot:

Would A

dark, greyey blue such as regal blue highlighting with shadow grey,

or a

dark, military green such as catachan/ camo green

work best with a sort of Khaki-ish colour such as Kommando Khaki/Bleached bone/White?

I\'m trying to choose. You guys (and gals) would know best.

Help?

Basically, is this a good colour scheme:

The blue will be darker (Regal/Shadow Grey) so it won\'t look like an Ultramarine Vet. But does it look good?

oh. Ok then. To be honest, that is the best since i already have a few models (captain, Dreadnought and Predator :) ) painted up green.

OK then! :D

Hey, don\'t go by only one answer, wait for other opinions! lol

Besides, it seems that you liked the blue, so why don\'t you instead have some fun painting them with a colour you like?

Yeah green\'s esp. cat or camo is very diffrent from the \"standard\" blue. Even Royal blue tends to look generic if not done right. And I hate Ultramarine - the color and the sm\'s its just too weak a color.
Also if you go for Green/Bone you will prolly need a contrasting color to give some life.
Like a Red, Orange, or Lichen. Not too much. Just a Powerfist or badge or something. Will make the mini lots more interesting.

EDIT:

The touch of color helps no matter how few, right?

Hope to see them WIP\'s soon.
Cheers

Ah, got you there: The Veteran and Generally \"More Important\" colour is Red.

Lucky, eh? In fact, i might just re-paint my captain\'s helm red.

This chapter is in league with the Grey Knights, which basically means Grey Knight models as Vets and my Grand-Master\'s going to have GK Termie armour, totally khaki/bone, with red bits. Good?

BTW, good pic adaptation. screen-dumped the GW site\'s Interactive painter and painted it on PSP. Good, eh?

EDIT: ah, but now i may have tyo change the eye colour. any good ideas?

Bone or Green helmet = Red eyes.
Red Helmet = Green or blue eyes.

The GK Termis in all bone with red bits sound very good.

My original chapter and insignia (the current one) is called the ImperiumOverwatch, with an Inquisitorial I with < > to the sides. But my new idea is for the Sons(Or hammers or axes) of Sigma, with the Sigma sign over an axe/hammer/something else.

Any more idea juice?

oh, and i\'ve repainted the captain\'s helm - it\'s a dark to blood red now. Makes the model stand out.

There\'s just Something about red and power armour that is cool.

BTW, my painted tank (and my dreadnought) have specialised markings on them. They consist of dual stripes of the colour \"above\" the base colour. For example, there is a dual stripe going diagonally on the Pred, on the green it\'s the khaki bone colour, and on the khaki/bone turret, it\'s red.

(It\'s a bit chavvish, but oh well. It\'s \"bling\" :p)

i may need to work on the stripes on the predator, however, because they\'re a little thin. I need to make them wider.

I\'ll try and get pics as soon as possible, ok?
