gw paints in airbrush

Depends on how dried out the GW paints are to start with.

You can put them through an air brush but I wouldn\'t want to ruin a good airbrush with them. Thin them to the consistancy of milk and tray from there it can vary on the type of airbrush and the size nozzle you are using.

I would rather pay the £1.75 per pot for Vallejo model air they are specifically designed for the airbrush :)

The metallics don\'t work well in an airbrush. Something to do with the pigment. Can\'t recommend model air colours enough.

The metalics don\'t work in a detail gun due to the size of the little metal particles. I\'ve shot some wierd stuff through my guns - auto ureathanes, cake coloring, airbrush makeup, latex, enamel - you name it, I\'ve probably put it through there.

The key is to thin, then thin a bit more.

Run it through a piece of old panty hose to screen any solids out.

Yeah I think it\'s down to the particle size of the metallic flakes. The only problem with thinning is that at a certain point the pigments tend to separate. I started using aluclad alcohol based metallics and haven\'t had a problem since.

Airbrush paint

If you wish to stay with acrylics, I have found Tamiya to work the best. Also, it thins with 90% rubbing alchohol, very affordable and dries quickly.
