GW Plastic (or metal) sprue recyclable

Are the plastic and metal sprue leftovers made of material that can be recycled. I went through and cut out all the bits I had leftover and was going to throw the sprue away when I wondered - can I recycle this? Anybody know?

I cut up my plastic sprues and use them for rubble.

(Will have to take a picture of the ruins I did in this way)

Some also have interesting shapes you can use for converting or for bases.

I heard that you can melt them in white pirit and you get a plastic putty as a result (remove the white spirit of course)

if you can get them to gw hq they will take them and recycle for you. no questions asked.

Well the sprues are High Density Poly styrene plastic and depending on your area may be recycleable. The metal is pewter and coan be melted down and re cast. But unless you have pounds of it its not really worth much.

I do the same as dan, got myself an old style mince meater, which is hand driven, got some big old bolts and mounted it permantly to my desk.

Until I broke it trying to force too much through it, now I have a replacement.

And thinking of such, I should probably sharpen it now I got my dremel back.

Oh, and on that note, while I kidnap this post, I took my broken dremel in (it just stopped working, I didnt break it, for once), and ended up being given a new one, with an extra box of bits, and the flexicord, which I never had in the first place.
