And I agree. I love Japan. I really miss it right now.

Now that I see the price is justifiable, I will buy it. I like the new models but only recently decided to buy more GW stuff.

I\'m still pissed about the idiotic move on bitz though.

EB, that reminds me. I was talking to a good friend today (he is high up in the GW totem pole) about the bits orders. He said that about 7/8 of the entire bits order catalog (thats well over 5000 individual pieces) barely sold at all. Maybe a couple hundred dollars a year, worldwide, for some of those pieces. Keep in mind that they had to pay workers to cast and sort these barely-selling pieces into bins, keep an inventory, and then package and ship them. So keeping it around could not be justified. The majority of the bits that actually did sell well are the pieces that are now available in \"bits packs\".

Yeah it does suck that we can no longer get really old stuff, the $2 rock, or the left horn off a Centigore. But after hearing about how much of a loss it was for them I finally agree with their decision to get rid of it (and I was very opposed to it from the beginning). The bits packs are a move in the right direction, for sure.

I\'ve started a count of the drinks I\'ve missed from these GW rants, not being of age to drink yet (Just a few more months!). I\'ll meet the backlog when I\'m, officially, able to drink.
