careful, there\'s a lot of folks here that think that gw is the devil!

Besides, how might one of us give you advice when you don\'t have any works posted for us to see?

spazzy is right, show your work mate (god that sounds wrong)

shown your sculpts, get known and apply for any position at gw hq as it gets your foot in the door so to speak.

try releasing some of your own sculpts, it\'s another way of getting your name out their.

I would say to look for some folks who are just starting up a mini business. I know a guy that started out by picking up the minis that folks like reaper didn\'t accept.

Speaking of, I just tried to pull up the eastern front studios website for the first time in a ong time and can\'t get it to come up. Has Mick closed up shop?

A really good place to start would be GW. If (for some strange reason) that\'s where you want to be then the best place to ask how you can get on their team would be GW itself. :drunk:

Well from prople I know who have gotten jobs there.. they sculpted a figure based on GW imagry and sent it to the studio for review or attended an GW event like GD and showed it to a studio head to make contact.

word of advice, many people apply for very few jobs there..so you will have to be exceptional.

enter contests, sell your mini online. get some stuff on here and other sites. begin to make a name for yourself. go to cons and build up a base for yourself. i am just now getting into contests and pimping my wares. this year at gencon i plan on trying to enter a few contests ....next year i plan on teaching some classes and what not. talk to your LGS and get some clients. lawyers are great clientel. once you have made a small name for yourself you will be on your way to getting that job at GW. anyhow hope it works for you.

Basically, sculpt. Be a damned good sculptor at that. Generally, if you\'re going to get a job there you need to be able to sculpt to their standard just to get your foot in the door. They don\'t take on people and teach them to sculpt, they take on excellent sculptors and then mould them into people who sculpt \'the GW way\' and these days I would expect a lot of that training to be in the usage of their virtual sculpting software.

Bets thing to do is to get some work with another company, just freelancing. Once other companies are taking notice then you\'re in a good position to go to GW and show your work.

But be very public with your sculpts. Show off a lot. There\'s no advantage to keeping your work under wraps.

I don\'t know 100% how to get a job in GW but general tips for job hunting I can help with.

Profile is key, as other people have said make a name for yourself. Get some contacts and impress them, show them how damn good you are.

Transferable skills are always good, its great to be good at one thing but always good to have a fall back just in case. A great one to have now a days is customer service type skills!

Just a couple of ideas that might help, but as the old saying goes \"how you going to have a dream come true if you don\'t have a dream?\"
