- The ardcoat appears to go flat in patches.

Anyone else had these probs.

Possible problem/solution

- Shake the cans really well, if you don\'t the paint or varnish isn\'t mixed up properly.
- How old are those cans? Chances are that the paint has aged. Solution: try and buy another can.
- Dunno where you are located, but is humidity and temperature OK in your area? To wet may cause this problem too I beleive...

Orange peel is caused by:

too much paint, move the can faster.

too close, pull back a bit.

too much pressure, not much you can do with a spray can.

The other thing is I know G/W did have a problem with the consistency of their spray paint a couple of years ago. I got myself a variety of different Eldar models and undercoated away. The spray made my models bubble ruining them. I wrote to Games Workshop regarding this matter, they apologised, explained the situation and replaced all the miniatures.. which was good, but i still had to prep them all over again which turned it into a chore than a pleasure.
Anyway, you could have some of the old stock possibly? If you think it is the paint and \'not\' your method of spraying you should write to them and explain your situation so you are compensated?
