gw water effects fluid

in water tuts in here a lot of reference to resin, but would the gw stuff worrk as well/
im hoping to use it in conjuction with this tut
(the river bit, not the block bit)

no i really doubt it. i think it\'s silicone based (although i could be wrong). what you need ideally is a 2 part epoxy resin. it will probably be cheaper too.
*edit* it depends on what you are using for too. i would have thought the gw stuff is only good for thin layers of water, such as puddles and ponds. in which case, varnish or pva would suffice

Then prehaps, but you would only manage to get it about 2mm deep and there would be no point in building up a box for the casting.

The best way to do it is with the two part epoxy resin, such as envriotex lite, just make sure that it is a clear setting one, which wont react to uv light.

As long as you follow akaranseths guide, you should be alright, its one of the best out there. Just remember to READ THE INTSTRUCTIONS on the resin, because each brand is differnent.

i agree with alex gws water effect is good for shallow water ponds puddles. i tried using it to a eldar open web way tried to do it star gate style but i got a bit over eager and put loads in it took 4 days to cure lol but then i didnt get the effect i wanted to cloudy:cussing:lol
