GW White vs Vallejo White

Has anyone compared the 2 whites...

I was told that the VJ White doesnt come out so chalky... My GW white for sure separates when mixed with other colors, and has chalky look to it... I\'m tempted to go out and get some VJ white if no one has compared the 2.

I have found the V White to be smother and go on less chunky. I found it mixes well as well, though I usually use a V cream intead of white when mixing for highlights.

The biggest problem I found with GW is that it seemed to try out quickly. Which is probably more due to me leaving the pot open then any problem with the paint.

I\'ve never liked straight white for highlights :s

And I hate trying to get it to look smooth...

If I can get away with it I\'ll use Bleached bone or Space wolves grey every time.

Haven;t tried any other Like Vallejo YET

I\'ve been using both recently. VGC White and VMC White are both less chalky than GW White, without a shadow of a doubt. Means that they\'re better for layering etc. However if you ever lightly drybrush on highlights, then GW (in my opinion), goes on a bit easier, because its chalkier and dries out more quickly :)

But I do agree with Dan - use a colour other than white to highlight with. To stop separation, a drop of V Glaze Medium seems to stop this for me (or some other medium).

Vallejo White is IMO a better paint, Coverage is smoother and using it as a mix in paint has not shown any \"chalky\" tendencies.
One thing I do like as well, is Vallejo\'s White Glaze. This can really improve pale highlights, but again like varnishes this does need a dedicated brush to prevent colour contamination.
