It\'s not to be rude or anything, but I think the army is lacking... It simply just looks like an army that was undercoated...

Some more contrast points, markings, brighter base, would make it alot better...

No offence intended at all.

DS, take a good look at photo 4. There is a LOT of work there.

good job.

Is that airbrush jars I see soaking in the background?

I know Air, but when painting something unforgiving like black, it needs some kind of contrast... The claws on the beasts for example, could have been painted another color... or something. I know it\'s to follow a colorscheme, but pure black just doesn\'t look that good...

How about giving them a nice bright base as mentioned above...?

As also mentioned, Black is a very unforgiving colour, and unfortunately, they DO appear (At first look!) to be simply undercoated with a bit of drybrushing.

I\'m sure they look much better in real life, but I can\'t really think of much else to make them stand out if you\'re following such a strict paint sheme...

Except maybe painting a gloss finish on them (Making them appear shiny when they aren\'t)

(Ie. sharp, defined highlights like polished leather)

They *do* have a gloss coat.... Using any bright colors defeats the whole purpose of doing them black like this. The look he wanted was \"indistinguishable black wave\" rather than the typical candy colored \'nids everyone else paints. :bouncy:
