Hair Sculpting Help

Cake or Death?
I\'m looking to convert a Phoenix Icons stargate mini to be one of the named characters in the show - specifically Rak\'nor, a black-skinned Jaffa with a scar on his forehead. Problem is, I have no idea how to sculpt really curly hair at 28mm scale (or any scale, for that matter). Can someone point me in the right direction?

sculpt straight hair and then wait a bit for it to cure a little then push it into curly bits with a pointy clay shaper

You\'re trying to do curly hair at 28mm???

I assume you\'re after the typical African-type tight curls?

Why not just cover the head in a very thin layer of green stuff and then texture it with an old brush?

That\'s exactly the effect I wanted. Old brush?

It\'s been a while since I\'ve done black hair, but I think I did the texturing with an embossing tool. It has a tiny ball on the end.

ah african type curls would be harder. maybe a soft putty and a brush after having done a rough sculpt of it
