The new film, is anybody interested in it?

I\'m assuming it will get an American release, has it been out yet?

I\'m tagging along with some work mates to go see it on Wednesday, but I\'m not sure it will live up to the original.

The thing I\'m unsure about is whether John Travolta will be able to play up to the same standards as Divine did, he really \'made\' that movie, and if Travolta doesn\'t get it right, it will be a let down for me.

Any thoughts?

As much as I don\'t want to admit it, as it may tarnish my manly masculinity!, I really liked the original!!!

Would give the remake a watch though, but I won\'t be expecting it to be as good as the original.

I want to

but I doubt I\'ll see it in theatres.

I am however, excited to see it. And the reviews say Travolta rocks it.

I can vaugely remember the original, which tells you what an immense impact it had on my life..........not.

I\'ll be passing on this one just as I passed on Grease & Saturday Night Fever for the same reason, grossly overrated.

...grossly overrated.

Over acted, over flamboyant, over eccentric.
Everything a good John Waters film needs :D

I didn\'t watch it for the story of dancing, I watched it because Waters really pushes the limits of satire. (Also see Pecker and Pink Flamingos for more Waters madness, there are more but these are the best IMO)

\"You will be sent to special ed due to your big hair\"
\"But special ed thats for RETARDS!\"
\"I know, like you\"

Funny stuff!
