Half-Life 2 based \'live action\' movie.

Currently playing Half Life 2 on the old xbox (well not at this exact moment obviously, but will be soon :D ).
It seems more miss than hit when they try and \'do\' films from videogames. Don\'t really know why that should be.
Is it a different premise or start point?
Some games are anything from 15-30 hours long so you get chance to really get involved, plus you play the protagonist, plus you play over a period of weeks / months.

Didn\'t mind the first Resident Evil and I see they\'re doing Bioshock and Far Cry as well (good luck with the latter as I thought the game was kak!)
Often it\'s a case of Hollywood trying to cash in quickly; Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and my all-time favourite... (Trumpet fanfare folks) Super Mario Bros! Mr Hoskins, we salute you!

nothing special as far as cinematography goes but i loved it..

hl is the best series of games ever imo. i havent played the new episodes yet as i dont want to buy everything 3 times as valve seem to want us to.

anyone know when the 3rd one is coming out?

Again I agree, they made HL2 seem like you were playing different games at times (ie, the zombies, the antlions, driving the boat, the car)..The story, the setting, and the execution were fantastic. To me this is the pinnicle of computer gaming.

I bought the Orange Box for XBOX 360, even though I already had HL2 on PC....it was worth it just for the new episodes...That last episode was incredibly fun!

No clue...Soon, I hope.
