Halloween remake...

...worthy homage? Talentless hack\'s rehash of a classic? Pointless? Actually pretty good on its own terms?

I\'m going to watch it a the cinema when it comes out, I\'m holding judgement untill then.
I am worried about it being a bit naff but I\'m not at all sure really where to place me bet so I\'m going to hang fire for the time being.

It\'s going to be hard for me to watch this one and pay money for it. I was in high school when the first one came out and it was filmed not a mile from where my husband went to school. He remembers watching them film it, using different areas of South Pasadena and I remember going past the \"Halloween House\" every Halloween (untill they moved it and re-modled it). So unless it\'s a must see I\'m going to wait until it\'s on Tivo. I\'m really waiting for reviews here of it.

I heard it was ok, if you are willing/able to \'forget\' the original.

If you go in expecting a faithful recreation of the original you will be sadly disappointed.

Apparently Zombie ramped up the gore, added a little to the body count, and tries to explain why Michael is what he is.

It came out here in the states on 8/31/07 and has already gone (at least in my area)...I\'m waiting for DVD so I can get it from Netflix. lol

Elementary My Dear Watson.

Slasher flick = Not in the least bit interested, would rather watch paint dry. (Which lets face it we do a lot of. :D )
