I see your point too Moe, they are on the high side for sure but I think the quality is going to be there. I also love the fact that they are casting them in resin rather than metal. I had kind of hoped the KS prices would be lower than their planned MSRP as a reward for backing them early but I also understand the very high price of digital sculpting and the need for a profit.

It will be interesting to see if any free stuff is added over the course of the kickstarter, otherwise i think it is far too expensive.

they need to think about european customers. Before it hits mu doorstep a 145$ pledge ends up cosing 240$.

The 3 model pledge level is also odd. 1 model from each category. What if i dont like any of the minis from one category?

Potential good news - I asked the creators if the Blackhawk level could be any 3 figures, instead of 1 from each of the tiers. They agreed:

To follow on with what Scott said, it'd be awesome if Blackhawks could be pick 3, just like Hornet is pick 4.

As Picard would say make it so! If that's the way you want to go we can swing that.

Well they need to do something. Not much is going on. I have doubts if this will fund.

They should have had a finished model allready painted up before the kickstarter went live. Scetches and 3d renderings just dont cut it in my book.

I share your doubts, though I'm not sure if having finished product would make that big a difference. Either you have a big enough draw or you don't. And 54mm resin 3d renderings of 2d artwork is a niche market. Especially considering the price point (which I'm sure includes some sort of licensing or royalty).
Most KSes I've seen recently (like RH and their TGG campaign) have little to nothing past the concept art stage, and they had no problems funding.

The thing that puts me off this one is the prices of the pledges and what you get for your buck. The pledge level too, don't really give much either and how it jumps from $55 to $135 is a big jump.
I'll wait and see if they bring them out on regular release.

I understand - and I think it's driving a lot of people off.
Unfortunately, I don't really see how they could make it much cheaper. These are 54mm resin minis based off of licensed artwork. Take a look at Knight Model's prices and you'll see these guys aren't overcharging.

I agree, I dont think theyre too high..$40 for a 54mm ..there arent many out there that cheap compared to what you get with these kits.

Maybe that is so, but there is nothing to make me want to back the kickstarter. No discounts, no freebies.....nothing.

And they only ship from the US, so customs and vat will be a killer.

I am glad they decided to re-tool the campaign and re-launch in a couple of months, this way they can make sure they have a great product and the funding goal will be met. I hate having to wait longer to get the figures but in the end I think we will all get a better more affordable product. I am looking forward to the re-launch.

Agreed. At first I was trying to think what I was going to do with my Blackhawk pledge money, but I decided to just keep it aside for the relaunch.
