Cheers everyone :D
Been away at York for the night. Great fun, took my DSLR along and had a good play with it, filled two memory cards with a bunch of RAW files and loads of bracketed JPEGs, so i\'m looking forward now to sorting through hundreds of images and picking out the good ones which I can do things with (about 5 knowing my luck!)

But il be able to edit them on my brand spanking new Wacom Intuos3 A5 which is fecking fantastic, already replaced my mouse with the pen, hell of alot easier to use IMO.

And cheers from everyone who sent messages on facebook or pm\'s :D Can\'t be buggered to reply to them all right now haha

The pubs were definately top class down in York :)

I found you can either go the modern, trendy student type bar route, or the traditional smelly old man pub route.

We went for the latter. It rained most of my bday, so we stumbled into this little pub off some high street, which TBH looked like that pub in Harry Potter, but it definately had atmosphere :D I just half expected Andy Capp to wander in and order an ale at the bar.

Then left after dinner, merry on to many pints and wander into the O\'niell shop, where a salesman told me all about the wonder of musical beanies (hats with headphones in them) ofcourse these are possibly the most useless invention ever, but me being \'merry\' thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. So tested it out, almost breaking the fellas MP3 player when I spun round and then bought it.
The most expensive hat i\'v ever bought, £35 and iv taken the headphones out as it make me look like a fighter pilot haha
Hats nice though, it has ear flaps and dangly bits :)

Then back to the little drinking hole until the hours of late!

Yeah, they heavily kick backside don\'t they? Still not exactly a pro at using mine to make really groovy looking digital art yet, but it\'s a hell of a lot better than using a mouse!

Now I just need to get some money, then replace my PC with a Mac, then get all the necessary software, then I\'ll be fully set!

At the moment I just usually use mine for retouching photos in photoshop, so I spent a few hours the other night creating new brushes which take advantage of the pressure sensitivity. (Still ain\'t got my head round the tilt malarkey)

Also started putting stuff onto all the buttons on the tablet, even just for stuff like my email app and internet, so hopefully I will be able to effectively get rid of my keyboard for everything but typing (but those frog pad typing things look pretty tempting)

But it\'s just great to be able to use something like the healing brush tool and be able to change the opacity on the fly, just by pressing harder.
Cool stuff.

good to hear about the tablet. i want one but my colour blindness is putting me off as i cant tell what colours are what on the colour selection chart. is there a program out there that tells you what the colours are or arranges nicely into sections?
