Mexican Independance day! A big-ish deal here in California. Grab a Mariachi band, some beer and some tamales and join the fun! :beer::drunk::beer::drunk:

Yeah, this is more of a \"we need a holiday this month\" holiday, and mother\'s day doesn\'t really count for some reason. Sept 15 isn\'t really celebrated much north of the border - at least not that I\'ve seen as a So Cal native.

My home computer got a virus or something for cinco de mayo.

This makes me less than happy.
I can\'t run anything of import, and
what does run goes very very slowly. Even the clock.

yeah, another marketing plan by corona goes off without a hitch...

the battle of puebla was a couple years before the french were finally defeated, and mexico regained it\'s independence...

this is a big day for those around puebla, just north of mexico city...
here in mazatlan they don\'t celebrate cinco de mayo, but all the govt. workers get the day off...
i learned the hard way, when i went to the post office here a couple years ago to pick up a box of minis that Privateer sent for me to paint...
nothing worse than standing outside a business that is closed for a holiday, while some guy is telling you how they don\'t celebrate the holiday outside of central mexico...
if you don\'t celebrate the holiday, why is the post office closed, and i can\'t get my minis???

i love the paradox that is mexico...
