They are legal in some states, but here in Arizona (and most of the other southwestern states to name a few) they are illegal because of the fire hazard. One loose bottle rocket that shoots off into some brush will cause a hell of a lot of trouble.
We\'ve got some really bad fires around here right now caused by lightning and lost hikers thinking that they need to light a signal fire. I\'m sure there would be a lot more if fireworks were legal.
I\'m one of those responsible people, but there\'s always some idiot who does something stupid and ruins it for everyone.

Its been pissing down all day here with no end in sight..the Pig roast I was supposed to go to has been canceled until probably Sunday, the first predicted dry day of the weekend..
As for fireworks, Its perfectly legal for me to buy all the fireworks I want here in Ohio, and I\'m not talking small stuff either..I mean BIG ass professional grade fireworks.. On the other hand its not legal for me to use them..Explain that one ???
