God loves people. And I really wish those people would drop Baptist and Church out of their name. They are not representative of either.

Nice find Freak :) Are these the gang who Louis Theroux spent a weird weekend with? Such a shame to see people whole heartedly pouring their faith into hate rather than love.

Cheers, B.

nicely put! i don't really know who they are tbh, it's a direct lift (read-steal) from frothers. are they the arseholes who celebrated when heath ledger died because he played a gay guy and therefore deserved to die?

Most of those placards are true of all religions back 100 years. Christianity has changed itself to fit with the modern world, these people obviously didn't get the email.

I do categorically hate people who protest at soldier's funerals. We had an extremist islamic bunch try and organise one in the UK the other month and generated a whole new lot of hate towards their faith as well.

Louis Theroux, just not from the Weird Weekend series. An interesting program if you find it in the listings. There is a scene where they have something thrown at them from a car during a street protest, typical of the vibe of the program though you don't get any smirky satisfaction from it, it hits one of the kids.

Cheers, B.

Luke 18: 9-14
9To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: 10“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. http://bible.cc/luke/18-12.htm12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
13“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
