Hey all

I\'ve just finished painting up my haradrim hasharii.

Its the first model that I\'ve used mostly Vallejo Paints for and I think its turned out ok.

What do you all think?

In all took me 3 hours, I was asked to rush it so it could be used in a game instore next day, so not my normal paint job...but good enough.

Cheers

I think he\'s OK. Tabletop quality easily, I voted 6 to even out the scores a little ;)

You should wash the metal with black, brown and/or purple to give it more depth, takes almost no time and produces OK results. Also, maybe it\'s just me, but the paint seems to be a little grainy. Try watering it a little more.

Mosh, I agree about the metal, but I was just going to say that the paint looks smooth. A little more definition is needed between dark & light. A pic of the face would have been nice.

Nice tabletop.

not bad

I\'d say your biggest problem is shading. I can tell that you did some in the purple, but the black and red, which are 90% of the model, seem unshaded. I\'d go over these colors again with two or three more coats of highlights, at least.

Another point, and I said this on the post as well, the left hand picture makes the face look nicked up. I don\'t know if it is, because it isn\'t shown, but your picture is making your mini look potentially worse than it really is.

Maybe it\'s my monitor, but it looks really rough to me... aha! A great excuse to fumble with settings which I have no idea what they are for! TO THE SETTINGS! :D

Thanks for all the comments so far.

The red and the black have been highlighted but my crappy scanner just washed the highlights away with it when I use it :(

I tried to play around with the picture using some software but it didnt help much.

As for the face, the sculpt isnt exactly brilliant and I managed to put what detail I could into...i may have another go at it soon though.

Thanks and keep the comments coming.
