Okay, this was either incredibly smart or incredibly stupid, but I\'ve taken a subscription to a magazine based solely on its table of contents. :rolleyes: finn, where\'s the straitjacket smiley?

Missing Harbringer Subscription and back issues

Two weeks ago I not only subscribed to Harbringer but also bought all back issues (except for No. 8) and the minis.

Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to reach stateside?

Thanks

Relax, you\'ll have it by Easter ;)

Seriously, depending on the mail and your location it can take 2 to 4 weeks. It can be frustrating, but it is very well worth the wait!

Cheers,
Grumb :cool:

While I\'m not aware of any current delays regarding either issue 15 or the supply of \"The Hunt\" miniature to our customers, I will chase-up these concerns at Griffin HQ at our next staff meeting on Friday.
If there are any problems I will ensure they are made transparent and dealt with as quickly as possible.
Please accept my apologies, on behalf of the magazine, if anyone has experienced disappointment in the meantime.

Cheers,
Dave.

@Grumb...Glad to be of help!
@mickc22...Thanks, mate! I do my best.
@ebonbuddha...Please read on!

This is what Jamie has to say (as a sort of informal press-release). It\'s a little long but it covers all areas, so please read it through...

\"Hi guys,

Apologies for the delays and confusion. Issue 15 was much later than planned; for the last three issues or so we\'ve been running about two weeks late this was due to attending Gencon in August and subsequent printing problems which combined to push our street date back - we were still releasing in the correct month albeit at the end rather than in the middle. We attempted to combat this by releasing issue 15 as a combined December/January issue. What this meant (in the best laid plans) was that by combining two issues we SHOULD have reigned our release dates back in and 15 SHOULD have hit the shelves in the middle of the month - something we proudly announced ahead of time, secure in our genius.

However on the weekend that we were supposed to be laying out the magazine in preparation for sending to the printers on the Monday we discovered that our FTP site had been the subject of several hacking attempts and that we had contracted a virus. 48 hours of pc maintenance meant that we were late in laying out and prepping the files for the printer (we couldn\'t risk infecting them, imagine how popular we\'d have been) and missed our print spot. What all of this means is that although the magazine was technically on time (at least it was released at the same time as the previous three issues) it WAS actually late considering our announcement and our normal street date of the 15th of the month.

In addition to this while combating the virus our emails were corrupted back to the middle of December. Mark, Rachel having left us to return to university, then had to log on to our secure server and manually print off every order from January so that we could send everything out (Harbingers of the Hunt included), causing the unacceptable delay that some of you have been suffering and a distinct lack of replies to justifiably irate emails.

All I can do is apologize for this series of events. Rachel leaving us was something we knew was going to happen for some time, what we didn\'t know was just how hard this would hit us (and how much Rachel took care of). We are a small team that has been made significantly smaller and with the setbacks we\'ve had we\'ve found ourselves struggling to play catch up.

Please rest assured we are very secure, just under-staffed, something that Mark is turning his attention to and which will hopefully be rectified within the next week or so.

Once again I apologise for any inconvenience and dissatisfaction.

Jamie. \"

In the unlikely event that anyone has a problem that Jamie hasn\'t covered, I\'d be happy to to recieve a PM about it.

Cheers,
Dave.

OOOOOOOOOK!
I have received the magazine today, it was just a small delay :)

Wonderful issue, now I have to try some conversion after the brilliant article by Jeremie.

Keep up the good work, I will renew my subscription for next year ;)

Well I have got some good news...

I was contacted yesterday by Harbinger and the issue would appear to have been resolved.

Basically, the problem was caused by me moving house, Harbinger, not taking note of my new address when I renewed my subscription and the bloody Post Office for not re-directing my mail like they are paid to do.

My local store hasn\'t received 14 or 15 yet either.

Here\'s hoping they get 16................

As an aside, when will the website be updated with the issue 15 Showcase?
