Point taken....

I have no connection with Harbinger other than being a (happy) subscriber.

I have just received my copy of Harbinger 7 and IMO, it is excellent. A huge improvement on the earlier issues, which I still thought were pretty good for a virgin magazine...

I don\'t want to clash horns with you again Glynn, but I do feel it is a bit unfair to expect a new company to produce a magazine and a flash website at the same time...There is no way you would be able to generate the investment for this!!

I am delighted that Harbinger are still going. I put my money where my mouth is at the outset, and I am happy with the fact that they are surviving and improving...

I think we should be encouraging this development in our hobby, not dissing them because they are not perfect yet!!!

Well Finn, they aren\'t new anymore, really, and most folks that post images here have knowledge of simple html... I mean a monthly update is EASY. They rarely update at all. I can add pages to my site in minutes and I am definately NOT a computer programming genius. So I really don\'t think that is an excuse. I understand they may be busy actually producing their magazine (which I agree is cool) but still... Issue 7 is delivered and the showcase is still issue 6. This is what I mean. Stuff like that.

It\'s good to hear that the new issue is out. I usually get mine a week after weveryone in North America.

Did the new Harbinger mini come too?

I\'m gona haveto get painting a bit faster because right I have tones of minis too paint, still haven\'t painted the last harbinger. Hey guys,

ZaPhOd is right, we do tend to let the website slide when we shouldn\'t and if we had any other choice we wouldn\'t. I don\'t want to make feeble excuses here because we\'re professionals and you have a right to expect us to keep up our end of the deal.

What I WILL say though (in defense of those who\'s responsibility the website is) is that if it could be done it would, rest assured they\'re not drinking tea when they should be putting up updates, it just has to take a backseat when compared with everything else that needs to be.

That and to add if I could do it myself I would, but you wouldn\'t like the results I assure you.

All the best

Jamie, are you the person to ask about my prize for winning the showcase? Jarrett Lee - I won a heresy demon in Showcase (5?) for my Dirze Clone.....haven\'t seen it in the mail.

I\'ve checked the Harbinger website, but I\'m still not sure what\'s in the magazine. ???

It would be really nice to get a hobby magazine up here, but I\'m not sure this one is what I\'m looking for. Thus, I have questions:

Is the main focus of the magazine new figures, painting techniques, conventions, gaming, a CMoN-esque showcase or something else?

Is the Harbinger of Vengance the same thing as the Harbinger of the Fallen?

How many pages (not including ads) are in the average magazine?

Sorry about all the questions, I wish I could just go down to my local hobby shop and leaf through one. Apparently, the magazine has really impressed several notable members here. The only reason I haven\'t already ordered a subscription is that the addition of shipping to the opposite end of the world raises the price somewhat. If it\'s what I think it is, it would definitely be worth the price.

Them\'s hard questions...

And I am sorry, but at this time of night I canot be arsed to answer them at any great length:D

IMO you have four simple choices:

1) Put up with nothing.

2) Put up with White Dwarf.

3) Put up with Harbinger.

4) Put up with Harbinger and White Dwarf.

Basically, beggars can\'t be choosers....:D

*EDIT* It is now next day and I am feeling less crotchety:D

Harbinger 7, the one I just received, is 80 pages thick and is full of juicy content and great pics. I haven\'t had time to read it yet but I am particularly looking forward to an article by our own Tammy Haye about painting surface detail on Chaos figures, there is also another a couple of articles by another CMON stalwart Sturmhalo aka Simon Bradley about painting technique. These two contributors alone make it worth the cover price IMO.

TwelveMilesOut,

Harbinger is 100% miniatures so we cover every part of the industry that we can.

Regular section include: News (gossip, greens, offers, anything really), painting tips, painting and modelling masterclasses, scenarios, battle reports, army lists, tactics, house rules, convention coverage, competitions, reader showcases (including monthly competition), product review, spotlights...
...bassically think White Dwarf for everyone (including GW at times).

Shroud, I still haven\'t had an email from you (unless it\'s lost in cyberspace), can you resend?

All the best

Jamie

Isn\'t it ironic?

I post that I usually get my copy a week after North America, and I go outside to have my mailman had me my copy.lol

**Cut to scene of EB stand in front of his apartment with a new copy of Harbinger saying,\"Eeeeeeeexcellent\" like Mr. Burns on the Simpsons.

I\'ve forgotten that White Dwarf exist since Harbinger has come out.

The new mini rocks.

Two out of three ain\'t bad...

..but the last one defines how many back issues I\'ll be adding to my order... Maybe it should be put a different way. How many Harbinger figures have come out? The website has three names in various locations, but only two pictures. Help?

I love Ogres. I am almost as bad as Kittykat is about Dragons. Will Harbinger ever try making a limited edition Ogre?

Just a subtle hint.:innocent:

So I\'m new in this neck of the net. I\'ve been collecting figs for years and years, but have been only recently pulled into the depths of utter figmentia (thanks to TAMP!)

I\'ve not seen this Harbinger magazine before though. Is it sort of like White Dwarf or something? What sort of articles are in it? Is it just a collection of pictures? Any terrain building stuff in there?

Heritic, its nothing like self indulged Dwarf.

What sort of articles are in it?

If it\'s mini based it\'s in there, simple as that, no matter who it is from.

Is it just a collection of pictures? Any terrain building stuff in there?

No it is full expertly written articles, and no there are no terrain articles as yet, but that would be a good idea.

Just in case you are wondering I dont work for Harbinger, all though I would love to, but am a subscriber since day 1 and don\'t want to see my investment and faith go down.
