Harbinger Magazine - Content

Hi Guys,

As has been pointed out by Tammy, \'Hex and Sturmhalo (and others - thank you guys!) the comment did not refer to GW in any way but to high street news vendors who are loath to see two similar niche market magazines released on the same date. It\'s much easier to prise £3.50 and £4.00 out of someone over two weeks, much harder to prise £7.50 out of them in one hit.

As has also been mentioned we aren\'t \'scared\' of GW nor are we, or shall we, be the victim of \'bullying\'. If we found GW as scary as other people seem to think they are then we\'d never have started Harbinger. The chances of GW having any effect on Harbinger as a magazine rest somewhere between slim and none. However (as has been said here bfore) GW have been very helpful to us and offered us nothing but encouragement (bear in mind that unlike their customers most GW staffers are GAMES fans).

We are an independant magazine and answer to no one but our customers (those being your good selves and our retailers - hence the request for your input on expanding the magazine).

THOSE are the facts.

All the best

Jamie

Being that I\'m an \'uni Enlish lit\' graduate, one would asume that it is.

I don\'t wish to sound insulting, but check the grammar and spelling of that sentence. Hope I\'ve not spelt anything incorrectly now! Wouldn\'t that be embarrassing?!

In all seriousness, thanks for setting the record straight. Heres to the long success of Harbinger!!

Obviously that should have read:

Bear in mind that unlike A LOT of their customers most GW staffers are GAMES fans.

The grammer is correct, but you are right. Sorry it should be English, not enlish:rolleyes:
I\'m still not great at typing though!!!

I would like to see small articles about classic mini lines of the past, like the Grenadier D&D minis from the 80s,what happened to the sculptors and artists,etc...
Also it would be nice for the showcase section to never again be \"sponsored\" like the Crocodile games issue,or was it merely coincidence...????
For what its worth,i took the shift in release in release dates question to mean WHSm...th saying jump.

Welcome to the forums, Kinjesus!
I really like your \"classic mini lines of the past\" idea, that\'d be great (you listening Ed.?) :) .

While I\'m typing I\'ll just add a nod of thanks to Atacam for speaking out when he thought Harbinger\'s integrity had been compromised.
As I have already said, I can easily see how the article could be misunderstood; so it is fortunate Atacam cares enough about the integrity of his favourite miniatures magazine to post his concerns here and give us a chance to clarify the situation.
After reading the article several (hundred) times now I wonder how many others were under the same misapprehension. At least everyone here is up to speed now....thanks to Atacam.:)

Blast from the past!!

Good point! A lot of the classic Grenadier stuff may be just like new stuff to many of the newer folks to the hobby. They had such a great line, it would be wonderful to revisit some of it!
