Yeah. I do hope they make it a success. Please can someone post here to let me know when (and if it) finally reaches the shelves of WH smiths? ???

Many thanks,

Kat

Supposedly the next issue onwards will be available through Smiths. This is all down to Smiths policy on adding magazines to their inventory.

:D

Will the magazine be available in newsstands and stores, or is it an online only thing for ordering. I don\'t have the use of a credit card :flame: (i\'m responsible enough, damnit, mom) so it looks like I won\'t be able to get it any other way than through stores.:(

what about the website?

Supervike;

While you\'re winding up your alarm clock will you walk over and kick the Harbinger website. It seems to have gotten stuck as well....

I really hope this mag is worth the wait and all the fuss. Will be a little hacked off if after months of waiting it turns out to be a real turd....:flame:

Cheers,
Grumb

the wait is the thing....

I should know better and expect a smidge of a let down.

Kind of like Christmas time when I was a kid, my expectations always outshined my presents.

But the anticipation of it (the magazine) has been a little fun (in a sick, twisted, kind of way!)lol

*Grinning and bearing*

Personally i am giving this thing a big measure of tolerance. Yes I have subscribed, yes I want my copy and miniature, but more importantly I want to see this thing succeed. We desperately need a vehicle other than WD and this could be it.

I personally can\'t imagine many things more difficult than launching a magazine, organizing Live Aid perhaps? So, I am going to sit tight and hum patiently to myself.....

Hmmm..hmmm.hmm..Hhhhmmmm,..hmmmmhm erk!

Dr. Bob

but not THAT Dr. Bob
If the CMoN hardback is a success, why not a CMoN magazine?

Plenty of awesome minis to draw from. Obviously lots of \"in house\" talent to draw from for articles as well.

Maybe quarterly as a goal?

Crazy idea?

I\'ve seen dozens of boxes of \'Harbinger\'!

....and they will all have been sent out by the end of the day (Wednesday)!

It\'s like my Granny always said; \"Better late and right, than early and shite.\"
...aye, a coarse Irish tongue she had.

As far as I\'m concerned it\'s largely about setting and managing expectations. Say you\'ll bring out a product in X months, then bring out a product in X months. Put up a countdown website, then update the countdown (I mean how hard can it be?).

Be professional. That way it\'s a step towards what everyone is craving for here - a quality publication with some modicum of longevity.

Let\'s face it, if the captive audience of mini-painters are struggling to keep the faith, what chance is there that WH Smith or other high-street newsagents / distributors will follow suit?

I am on board....(Ihave a [nominal] sub)

But that web site sucks, blows, farts and grunts.

They would have been better off scuttling the damn thing....

It\'s a disgrace...

I dread to think how many customers that alone has lost them...:(

I\'m considering adding this subscription to my \"Gimme gimme gimme!\" list (birthday on the 23rd ;)) not only for free figs but the paintjobs on the website look great and I\'d like the opportunity to do browns that nicely :D

The price tag is a bit much for me, I hate the Canadian dollar so much, but whatever. If it\'s a present then I\'m not paying, right? lol

As far as I know, the mag will be available through some games stores (check with your local store - not GW though :p) and WH Smiths from next issue onwards. I think I recall the big guy in charge mentioning that some other newsagents were interested in stocking it as well, but I don\'t know which chains these were (they were UK newsagents by the way!). I guess the best thing to do is just go and ask your local newsagent if he\'s going to stock it! After all, the folks at Harbinger aren\'t going to know of every little store in the world that\'s going to carry the mag (they deal with distributers and the like, not individual stores).

Hmm... I have to admit that not updating the web site is a bit tardy. I reckon the countdown was perhaps a mistake when you consider that the slightest delay would make a bit of a cock up of the whole thing. Still, looks like the mag is ready to go so hopefully the web site will spark into life again now the pressure\'s off.

Even though the website not being updated was annoying, I think I have to say that I\'d much prefer they were working on the actual magazine than dinking around with HTML to keep customers from getting suspicious. Hopefully, this means they put oooodles of effort into the magazine and it will rock! :)

Ok so how do I get hold of the first issue without taking out a whole subscription? Will there be a back order service or something? I\'d really like to get that Harbinger of Justice figure so which issue does that come with???

Thanks,

Kat
