Well I finally finished her.

For those that remember the WIP that was posted towards the end of last year in one of the threads well here is the finished mini.

I would say she was a joy but in the end I was really glad when she ended up in the display cabinet out of the way. She was actually finished in Jan just before I went away but I didn\'t get a chance to take a decent photo until now.

I spent a lot of time deciding whether to do metalics or NMM in the end I went for the NMM but I am still not sure that I have the hang of it.

Anyway here she is
Harbinger of the Fury

Many thanks to Scott (Spacemonkie) and his advice on one of the forum posts on how to fiddle about with the background what a difference that has made :D

I notice that in the three months I have been away my ratings have dropped also this is a break in the normal 10mm stuff I have been painting so your votes and comments would be appreciated.

She looks very nice. I like the skin tones and her hair. The blues are nice as well. I think that you could take the highlights on the leather a little further. The NMM looks good but a little grainy.

Thanks for the comment, I am still undecided with NMM I suppose having done mostly small scale stuff I do not get a lot of practice with the 28mm scale to be able to concentrate on it but when I finished this I more or less made up my mind to stick with metalics I think it was all those damn swords that put me off more than anything else:D

In the end I was just to get her finished and out of the way everything I tried with her just didn\'t work and that included the leather:( which I am normally not that bad at.

Been and voted...

A very nice figure,I\'ve never seen so many swords! lol You must\'ve had mad fun with them ;) Her hair is wicked, the tones used come together well.My hair never seems to have enough clarity between colours, for example my shade colour nearly always comes out too dark! I enjoy the palette used here, cool figure, cheers :D

@ Broke n English Thanks for the comment the hair is really simple and about one of the only things that came out right:)

If you want to try it for yourself I would suggest a mini with a lot of hair detail, undercoat/basecoat white then use a 2-1-2 mix of brown ink-yellow ink-water. When its dry highlight up to bone and a final touch of white in the highest areas.

@Sturm thanks I apprieciate that from you I remember you saying before that she wasn\'t one of your favourites:D

stick to the small stuff.

I\'m just kidding of course. :p

She looks very nice. I think the NMM swords look great.
Yeah, don\'t care much for parts of the sculpt (looks like she\'s just tripped on the big rock and is going to face plant - and her face looks like it\'s hit a few rocks already) but that\'s the sculpt. The painting is excelent, especially the shadowy areas of the flesh.

I don\'t think I would have been able to resist painting that hair like a flame behind the scrunchy. She could pass for running in terror. Stop Drop Roll!

lol
I never thought of that I like the idea though, then again reds and yellows aren\'t a favourite colour as I hate painting them and that being the case I think she would definately got hit by a bus:D
