I think he looks very...what\'s the word... oh yes, graceful ;)

Loving the right side of the mask and agree that something non-metallic for the other half would contrast better. The diamonds look good too - nice colour choice. Not so sure about the silver on the right leg and left arm but I\'m sure it will come together as the rest is painted. Good luck

I agree about the silver and gold.
Less shiny, more colourfull! Maybe invert the colour sheme from the left leg (right leg as it would be) onto the other one?

They\'re all about the razzle dazzle and less about the Bling lol. Think evil clowns!

...I hate clowns *shakes fist at the clown sitting at the desk across the way*

Looking good so far. I\'d check the belt and the ends of the sword\'s crossguard, as it looks like you have some air-vents still attached to the model.

The highlighting on the diamonds looks a little rough, but I wouldn\'t worry too much as I didn\'t bother highlighting them on my \'quins.

looking good so far.
The black on the checks could do with being thinner I think. The free hand ivy/thorns on the other leg is great, not sure about the silver underneath though.

I agree with you about the mask, not sure on he colour though. As mr TBS said you could make him bright and colourful.

Keep up the great work.

:)

I am liking the freehand thorny vines, but I wish the photo was a bit clearer :p

I really like the right side of the mask too.

If you\'re looking for mother of pearl get yourself down to an art shop.

The product you are looking for is either \'pearlescent medium\' (no colour) or \'interference medium\' (which is the same stuff but comes in a variety of colours.)

You can either mix it in, or paint it over your other colours to get a better effect.

ok here is an update, not managed to get much done as been very busy but has been some progress (although a lot has been deciding on colours then changing them!!)

I have tidied up the checks and thinned the black lines between them, the glove and boots have been done yellow and basecoat for the robe and collar which will be red. the shoulder pads are going to be green and i may add an eldar run to each.
I have tried to do some osl (first ever attempt!) on the eye so it glows but doesnt seem right. i think maybe it could be because i did blue which was too similar to the mask colour itself, maybe green would work better or no glow at all?
Also think i am doing the sword a blue colour but no idea on the pistol, any ideas?

He\'s looking really sweet now. I can\'t suggest anything that would improve what you\'ve already done. The paint blending look a little rough in places, but that may be the photo. At this stage any improvement in technique will have to wait until your next figure (too many layers of paint otherwise)

Pointless critique aside, all that you need now is a great base to set it all off.
