Has your voting changed?

I\'ve been thinking, lately, about the way I look at the miniatures as I learn more and more about how to paint them well. My own rating on posted minis has gone from simple 5\'s or thereabouts up to a good 6 level, and I\'m pretty sure I\'m still getting better with my own stuff.

However, I\'m also noticing that, the more I know, I think I\'m being a bit harsher with my judging other people\'s work. Not sniping, but putting more serious thought into what I see, and identifying techniques used, and whether they were well executed, and all that.

Or am I just less easily impressed, having seen so many really great minis to vote on?

I think I\'ve got a little more critical. Not that much, but I was more easily impressed when this site was new to me. Now I take my time and look at the technical stuff more, before voting.

I am getting back into voting. But honestly, I don\'t see the point. You vote, people get pissed and bitch, or your coments are not nice enough, then they are dropped (And I have not been vulgar in what I say. Just not \"nice\" ). So, I don\'t see point if you can\'t state your opinion.

I find that my 5\'s and 6\'s have stayed about the same. I\'ve become more critical on the upper end though, the 9\'s and 10\'s. Like Ritual said, I guess I\'m not as easily impressed anymore. Don\'t give out as many \"Oh Wow! Definately a 10\" knee jerk votes anymore.

I think Im a bit more leanient in the lower areas but I have become very criticle for 8+. Like has been said Im not as impressed anymore.

@ebon dont sweat it. If someone hadnt bagged my painting I would have thought I was really great and not improved. I think honesty is the best way to help people improve thier skills.

Like Ogrebane, I have gone easier on the 5\'s & 6\'s partly because I\'ve seen krylon space marines on too many tables.

But it is harder to get a 9 or 10 out of me. Have I become jaded?

I\'ve voted more critical, but it\'s not really all that simple for me, my voting has become more divided. I think I\'m giving the really good ones higher marks than when I first started and the others a lower mark when when I first started.

I might be more tempted to give a 10 than I was before, and likewise I might give a mini a 9 when I would have not thought originally.

On the other hand, minis that I would have normally given a 5 to (yea that would look ok on a gaming table) now tends to get a 4 from me. A few things that might have gotten a 4 now get a 3 from me. Fortunately you still have to be pretty horrid to get a 2 from me, and I almost never gve out 1\'s.

I find my 4-6 range has gotten huge while my 7-9 has shrunk a bit and 10 has almost shriveled away.
I don\'t think there has been any change in my 1-3 range: and I do occasionally give these.

I haven\'t changed much. I mostly tend to vote one point lower than the others (and I do this without looking at the rating before); but sometimes I vote above .

I think my voting trends have stayed about the same. Except for Space Marine minis, for some reason I vote them a point or two less then what I would normally. I think I am sick of seeing them.
