Have the snipes been weeded out recently?

I ask because I\'ve just checked the top 10 SF and fantasy, and there are a lot of 9.8s on the list, whereas they only used to get to 9.6 in the past.

I\'m not sure about that, but certainly there has been a influx at the very top (9.5+ minis). Maybe they got bored?

Doh! I always vote a bit higher than I think I should to offset the sniping-I didn\'t know they were on vacation! lol

I noticed my Wolfen I just posted did a severe dip then rise within a day or so. Sorry, I think they is still out there.:mad:

Do the abnormally low ones get weeded out occasionally?

And yeah, I suppose snipers would need vacations. They need some time to recover their bile and loathing. :p

@Equus - There\'s a \"secret\" algorythm that kicks in after a mini reaches fifty votes that\'s designed to eliminate \"anomilous\" voting. I belive it\'s a Secret Family Recipe known only to Chern and Borg.

I think it has been across the site, my ranking went down by more than 3 places, and then they went back up again. I usual go in the upwards direction when i post something new, so something has definately happened.

I actually was getting the feeling it was getting worse honestly, and this is without getting a mini into the top 10 in last 7, where it\'s at its worst. In the past, every couple weeks it seemed I\'d get a gallery snipping, where essentually someone would go in and snipe the top 5 or so minis in my gallery. Always obnoxious but always tended to work itself out.

However recently over the last couple weeks, this has been almost daily, and every time the anti-snipping thing kicks in, each of my minis loose a vote or two (so ultimate it\'s no harm, just ammusing to watch). And this is me just sitting there, not posting big scores or moving up the standings.

Just my observations :)

I think the snipers are stilll there.

Personally I dont really care that my minis bounce up and down more than a yo-yolol
I value the comments I get, but then I am not on here as much as I used to be.

Anyway I had a theory who the snipers were, but that little gem of wisdom I am keeping to myself. I think I did read on another mini forum that you could track the IP\'s of any person that voted on a mini over 24 hrs. As soon as I find this program I will install it and name and shame the one involved.

Now just got remember where I bloody saw it:rolleyes:

Dunno why folks get so paranoid about snipers. Must be a lot of unkown people who randomly just vote something way down for whatever reason without considering themselves a sniper.
