Well those are kind of cool. But they are the Hot Rod marines. I mean think about it; Matt black, flames and skulls.

I got my hand on a box as a commission, and they are pretty cool. Full of flashing, thugh; it's going to take me forever to clean these guys.

I actually like the way they turned out, especially compared to the old ones, which I should have a squad of lying around.
But if the actual models have anything close to the amount of flash and mouldlines the SM Vanguard models had, I'm not touching them with a borrowed pair of clippers!

broke down and bought the 5 man box for the sergent fig.
um yeh they have lots of cleaning to do on them.lucky for me im just converting and painting him only.
the rest will just go in my bits box.

Side note: I could be wrong, but in some earlier GD photos, where they had the greens of the models, I could've sworn the Legionnaires were all left-handed, ie gripping the bolters with the left hand, supporting with the right. I vaguely recall someone saying that made them more "sinister".
