Contact the store that you lent it to. Its the stores responsibility. If the guy whio took the minis did it without your permission its stealing. I think you should contact the police. Or find his adress and knock on his door with a baseball bat,

What he said+ if you can\'t find them get an estimate of how much you could have sold them for (guessing around 200-300 pounds) and buy yourself a nice new army on the shop.

Yeah, get the police. Stealing is stealing, no matter what it is that\'s been stolen. The store should have taken MUCH greater care with your work, and they (and that guy) owe you for the cost of the minis, the hours you put into them and the prestige that you gained when you won.

on the legal front, the store is not responsible unless you get a written agreement (a form of contract)
your goods won\'t be covered by the stores insurance either.

the guy has stolen them so go to the police.
have a nice chat with the current store manager and see what he can do when he has a chat to people above him about the situation.
GW are good at helping people out with things like this, but unfortunately you won\'t get what a lot of people percieve them to be worth.

it\'s a hard lesson to learn unfortunately, don\'t lend any miniatures/dioramas if don\'t want to run the risk of them getting broken or stolen.

Not quite sure why you let anyone keep your minis. I leanred my lesson the hard way as well. An ex-friend wanted me to let him use the 40+ gretchins I had for his ork army. Being a complete dumbass I let him and when I told him off and stopped being friends with him I forgot to get them back

So the moral is never let anyone else hold your minis.

It was a great piece and a deserving winner at the time. But after so long, (I presume you had this on display years ago?) I think your chances of getting it back are remote.
All you can do is get painting and make something so damn good that this is a memory.
Not much help really. Sorry

If you get the police involved, and legal action is taken. The only amount of money that you could possibily be given is the amount that the items were purchased for. The will not give you additional value for the time spent on the project or the paint used for the project.
