Antenociti\'s Workshop carries extruded polystyrene, uses paypal and has international shipping.

What exactly are you looking for? sheet? rod or tube stock?

Why not buy from an australian shop http://www.hobbyone.com.au/category.asp?Code=F503 I found that by using Google.

Otherwise if you looking for cheap sheet stock look on eBay under Styrene Plastic. Many sellers sell loads of stuff and will ship overseas.

i\'m more looking for foam board, you know the pink/blue stuff GW use for terrain building. i know hobby one well, lol i\'ve been there many times but i dont think they have extruded polystyrene (not that i\'ve found anyways).. i think i\'ll just buy from this kelvin mob, their foam is ever so cheap (5 X cheaper than Atenociti\'s foam) i can can get a 5 (23\" by 23\"by 1\") board from them for 20 USD, that is so cheap

That\'s not high-density polystyrene; HDPS is what we know in the hobby as styrene (LDPS is the white, squeeky, packing material used around most electrical goods like TVs).

I don\'t know the stuff you mean but I think this is likely to be like balsa foam (anyone?) which is made from urethane or phenolic resins.

Looking at the site he gave at first, he wants the stuff like I mentioned, the extruded polystyrene or \"styrofoam\", though as he\'s said, it\'s way cheaper on the site he found than I gave. Antentociti\'s Workshop does also carry balsa foam, and foamboard: foam between two sheets of card (I\'m familiar with that stuff due to living with architects for three years). Anyway, he seems to have decided on what he\'s going to buy. :)

Ok Im confused here.. are you looking for model plastic or are you looking for the insulation foam thats commonly used in construction that people like Games Workshop use for making terrain?

If thats the stuff your looking for I would think any DIY home improvement store would have it. It may not be pink or blue in color..but that stuff in universally made.

Shipping from the US to Australia would be insane as its not only based on weight but also by size.

Can you show us a picture of the material your looking for??

It\'s definately the \"XPS foam\" he means.. :) Not sure what they\'re called in english except for foam boards quite simply. They come in different forms. The blue is the softest one and is quite common, at least here in Sweden, you can get it from lots of places.. buildingsites for example. Then I think there\'s pink and orange.. pink I\'ve seen used as well but I\'ve never seen orange which is the hardest afaik.

What are you going to use it to do?

I think your right.. what he needs to do is take a trip to the local home improvements store.

This is the problem these days, people dont go out and actually look for things themselves anymore They see something in an article or online and instead of taking 15 minures to look locally they just post online where can I mail order something from from across the world when its probably with in a hour drive of where they live.

I think XPS stands for extruded polystyrene, which on Antenociti\'s Workshop is referred to as styrofoam, as I mentioned before. :p

Here in the states it\'s generally called \"medium density building insulation\". It\'s not sold in on the west coast due to the fact that it\'s too stiff to be earthquake safe. The GW shops out here get it shipped from corperate in the mid-west. As for where to order it, im not usefull there. Sorry.

i would drive to the hardware store , but i can\'t drive...and its hard to organize ppl in my family (btw im getting my liscence soon ) i\'ll certainly have a look next time i\'m near a hardware store , although i have never ever seen it anywhere except in WD magazines,

http://www.kelvin.com/plfo_polystyrene.html

i think this is what GW use but it has so many names lol...im not looking for styrene plastic sheet, im looking for the insulation foam that GW use... thanks for the replies everyone

Styrofoam has been used as a name for different types of products, one of which was Dow\'s blue foam. Anyway, the point was that that\'s what AW was calling it, amongst other names; but that what they were selling was XPS.
