this is a paintjob requested off of a pic of the newer spearmen, hence the colours and freehand on the shield. Considering he\'s one of those old spearmen that comes in one single piece (=really bad details) I\'m very satisfied :D (Not that I can\'t always do better ;))

How many of these little punks do you have to do for the commission? Hopefully, you\'re getting a good price for your work, too!

Looks very nice! I agree with Valander that the white on the shield looks a bit thick, but otherwise it looks great. Nice nmm and nice gems. I don\'t envy you the task of painting a unit of those, however.

Those guys only make a real impression when they are together in a unit. It\'s great painting for a standard mini and the whole unit should look fantastic on the gaming table. Make sure to post a pic when they\'re all finished.

hot diggity that\'s nice.
I\'m in the midst of doing an old HE army myself, but on my own color scheme. They aren\'t much fun mainly \'cause of those scales not having much definition.
Belt satchel seems to have a bit of slop on it.
Good work with what really are some tough colors.

I\'m doing an entire army w/ dragon and everything! Yummy! The project will run for at least six months though, probably longer. I expect to be really good at painting blue and white when I\'m done :D

that\'s rally good, xpecially if you think how crappy the model is! :D

my only criticism is about the upper part of the shield: white seems to be a little too thick, so another hand (tinned down a little more) wuold help i guess

anyway, great job!

Well, most people, including myself, point out the shield, but the thing is I had to file down an emblem that used to be there, so it\'s not the paint, but the uneven surface underneath it. I should have paid more attention when filing, I know...However, the other models will come with flat shields, so I won\'t have that problem :)
