not bad but i prefer the allan carrasco one. this dude starts off with a half way decent head. still bloody impressive the way he does it though!

Just got done watching it, always fascinating to watch stuff like this.
Couple of questions for those that may know the answers:
1. What was the waxy looking green strip he had on his right hand side? Looked like he was either, cleaning his tool with it or lubricating it. Couldn\'t tell what it was.
2. At the end he uses Humbrol Enamel Thinner, and was wondering for what purpose did he mention using that. Cleaning the lubricant off the sculpt or ...

Wow, that guy has such a fine touch. Wish I knew more of what he was saying, most of it wasn\'t understood. I\'ve forgotten more french than I know.
I think the green was either wax or maybe soap? I\'d wager on wax.
I kinda wonder about the Humbrol too, it\'s either to smooth out the greenstuff or to clean the wax or oil off. I\'d wager on smoothing, since I don\'t remember him doing the hair, just the face. Not sure if it dissolves GS though?
I\'m now watching the Allan C. video. Lookin\' cool so far too, what is he sculpting with? Sculpey or ... only other grey I can think of is Miliput but the grey isn\'t that fine I don\'t think...anyway, back to the vids.

looks like procreate to me. is the first guy sculpting from a resin base or what?

i had to watch it again but it\'s fimo over a miliput base. he then a small amount of duro (gs) over the milliput to allow the fimo to adhere to the milliput

I am pretty certain he is using green stuff on a prepared resin head.. He appears to be using a lubricant(from the strip) and by the appearance of it on the rubber tools..vaseline or similar) The final wash with thinners is to do a final smooth and remove the lubricant.

Just looked again, pretty certain the top coat is gs on a Fimo head, not a resin one.most of the French sculptors use a champagne colour fimo which this seems to be but the top coat appears to have the handling qualities of GS

he definitely uses gs over a resin master with vaseline to stop it sticking.

hello I am the realisator of the video one.
the sculptor uses grenn stuff, it smoothes with petroleum jelly.the thinner humbrol is used for to finish joining and smoothing.
