Hello. I know this is probably the umpteenth time this question has come up... I DID do a search and found nothing quite this specific though....

I am wanting to get as firm a grasp of Confrontation scale as I can, so I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to actually measure the height of a fig from the bottom of the feet ( NOT the base ) to the eye level.... ANy of the human figs will work but I am especially interested in the height average of the Kelt figs.

I would od this on my own but I have no Confrontation ffigs to measure and I cannot find any at retail near me

Just to give you an idea, this guy :

mesures 32,5mm tall from feet to eyes.

Planning on sculpting for Rackham?

I would certainly like to. however I doubt they would contract a non- in house sculptor.

What I am trying to do is to produce a range of minis that could be compatible with either Reaper OR Rackham... As those are my current favs.

Many thanks for the reply. This is the kind of answer I was looking for, though a few more would be nice for the sake of an average heighth. Thanks again Greenstuff.:D

Well, as of last month they WERE indeed recruiting. Info was on their site...

Yes, I saw that recruitment notice. I emailed them asking for the requirements for employment but never recieved a reply.. I mentioned that I did not live in France or even speak french so I just assumed that that was the reason they never replied.

Perhaps I should follow up.

And thanks for the effort Borg but I already have those pics saved for reference... What I am looking for is more of an exact measurement of certain figs.

No problem at all Sigil. If you want some other sizes don\'t hesitate to PM me. And thanks a lot for your kind comments and nice ratings. Oh and please tell me when you\'ve finished your current WIP :).

If you even start to consider the possibility of moving to France, yes, you should... :)

Hi,

If you are serious about working for Rackham, here is a tip. There are several French sculptors on the figurines_fr yahoo mailinglist. Amongst them both Rackham and ex-Rackham sculptors. It could be a good place to hang around to find out more about working there. And to getting used to miniature specific words in French (which you\'ll need!).
Working conditions at Rackham have also been discussed there in a thread. Not sure what it was called though.

As a freelance sculptor Fenryll may be a better bet. I\'ve got the impression they don\'t use in-house sculptors only.

Bye, Ming-Hua

Thanks to everyone for the replies and encouragement. Hopefully I will have a few minis to show off soon. I think I have finally worked out my technique enough that I will feel comfortable showing them off.

And also thanks for that tip Minimaker I will definitely check that out.
