hello! need help

need help buying a new desklamp for painting miniatures, has anybody got any recommendations? prefer amazon or something similar

Anything by ott lite. Some say they can be a bit under powered, but are more accessible and it's easier to replace bulbs when they eventually burn out.

Whatever lamp you decide to buy, I recommend replacing the bulb with an LED bulb. Usually they produce just as much light if not more while using less electricity but most certainly, and more importantly, producing less heat. I find this to be worth the extra money that they cost.

I would say the choice of bulb is more important them the lamp itself. The color of the light spectrum will have a huge effect on how certain colors look against one another. Most bulbs run in a shade of yellow, pink, or blue hue. Try to find a daylight bulb or something as "neutral" as possible.
