Hi. Doing the introduction thing here and don't know what to say!:embarrassed:

I used to really love Games Workshop stuff but havent done it for 4 or 5 years possibly more. I have a really addictive personality and it's got me into some less than good habits over time, so as part of getting out of that I'm trying to refire my creative side.

Along with getting back into photography, I'm going to start painting and modeling again and hopefully move into more productive and happy paterns than the ones I sometimes slump into... God that makes me sound like a bit of a depressive mental. I'm not mental... well not in a bad way anyway!!!:D

I used to be an ok painter I suppose and won a few local hobby store and Games Workshop store prizes but having seen how things have moved on and the amazing models made by other companys I realise theres a lot to learn. Theres some godly stuff out there and it's great to be amongst so many talented people.

Hopefully I'll get to know some of you along the way, make some friends, do some cool models and may even get to a standard where I can help people along the way.

So er yeah, hi! Be gentle with me!!!

Wotcha and welcome. 'S'a nice place round here. There's no dog poo on the floor or anything.

Your tale sounds a mite different to the familiar return to the paints. There's a thing, folk often let the hobby slide towards the end of the teens as other activities exert a greater lure (girls, girls, booze, girls). Then one day, out with the paramour they pass a GW store, "Ha, I used to be into that", but curiousity draws them for a closer look and the hobby is re-awakened.

Doing the photography lark should stand you in good stead, taking quality pics of your minis.

Have fun trying out all the fancy techniques in the articles section and sticky thread. :)

Worry not, the people here are rather gentle. You said what needed to be said, and I'm sure everyone will welcome you. Except for Supervike. You'll have to appease him with offerings.

Thanks for the welcomes. :lashes:

Wyrmypops you're dead right. I went into GW for the first time in ages to buy paints in my lunch break today and ended up buying a set of Dark Eldar too. Will enjoy sticking them together when I get home. Probably start something in the Work in Progress forum to keep me going.

G'day and welcome. You'll find a bunch of help here and the encouragement you need. As for the gentle, since you've requested it, we'll grease up the rubber gloves first in future ;)

Nuffing on one lass I seen in the solid rock once. I thought the Mitchell lads were having a cuddle under her top. On much closer inspection I found it to be completely contrary, glad I was drunk enough to ask!
Now the moral of the story is...

Hmnn

I'm glad that my arrival has sparked some seriously intellectual debate! ;)

If I had known drinks were required I'd have brought a hip flask of Laphroaig, but, alas, that's still safely tucked away in the cabinet.

As for Supervike's boob appreciation - I can only appreciate a man who appreciates a lady who's appreciably (did I make that word up for the sake of repetition?) endowed in that region. My missus' cup size goes a fair way through the alphabet and the letter is written twice, so I'm right there with him on that one. :)

Right, have to head off and buy some supplies for my new airbrush that just arrived. Ooooh exciting!
